Off to Market

Saturday morning Claire and I did the unthinkable - we woke up at 430AM and drove to DC for the Arlington Flea Market.  Crazy you may say....well...yes....but also Crazy Fun!  Claire and I plotted our road trip Friday evening over champagne and Me Kong.  Believe it or not our husbands were not too keen on the idea of rising at the crack of dawn in search of home treasure....but they did offer encouragement (Tom - "Go get me that Settee") and their ATM cards (Brian's super sketch 1030PM withdrawal from Bank of America - thank you!).

You may wonder....why this flea market...why so early on a Saturday?  Well....our favorite blogger Jenny of Little Green Notebook is moving and brought a truckload of  her goodies south for a 7AM opening.  Luckily, we made it to DC even earlier and were able to score a few choice items before the masses swarmed the flea market....
Claire with her fabulous new footstool - love that pattern and piping!
Sorry Tom -Settee was the first thing sold (apparently before 6AM!)

Apparently I was feeling blue...

Bed Side table - needs a friend...or bed
Vanity for the bedroom (bench is from Target)
Vanity Bench - living at the foot of our bed for now - love that bamboo print
Ink Blue garden stool - started in the living room and has made its way to the aquarium sun room
Next stop for this incorrigible shopping duo - late night at Alexanders Antiques...after all we love a deal and would never consider buying our furniture in the full light of day!
